Your dog and I work together first, then you come into the picture so I can transfer the training to you. These packages are very popular, therefore I only have a certain number of dogs per month. Contact me ASAP to reserve your spot! **Ecollar and Off-Leash Training is only available for dogs registered in the 20 Day Package. Please note: aggressive dogs are not candidates for off-leash training as it this poses too much of a risk to the public.
An evaluation lesson prior to the first start date of your chosen Day Package is required.
This is not required for single, 3, or 6 lesson packages.
In this evaluation we will cover basic training information, you may ask any and all questions, and we will evaluate necessary training techniques or gear for your dog(s).

What starts aggression issues in these dogs?
Parents must be on board and receptive. We will take this program very seriously, and expect the parents to do the same.
The short answer is no.
Why do trainers advised against dog parks?
What’s C R A Z Y is the amount of times I’ve met an aggressive dog and an owner says “Yeah I just wanted to see how he’d do so I took him to a dog park. He attacked a few dogs.” It’s mind blowing actually. The average dog owner will not hear that, but trainers do.
.
This is such a lengthy topic but here’s a short and direct summary of why many dog trainers advise against dog parks:
.
🙂↕️ They’re usually so gross
🙂↕️ The dogs practice unwanted behaviors like:
Jumping on people, getting into scuffles, high arousal levels, bullying behavior, etc.
🙂↕️ The dynamics get thrown off because none of the dogs know each other and haven’t been around each other long enough like dogs who live together
🙂↕️ Resource guarding issues
🙂↕️ Blowing off recalls
🙂↕️ Thinking all the fun is with other dogs and never their own people
🙂↕️ Major pulling to get to the park and the owner reinforcing that by letting the dog drag them/letting them in
🙂↕️ Not knowing if dogs are up to date on vaccines
🙂↕️ Fence fighting as other dogs pass by on the sidewalk
🙂↕️ MOST owners do not have proper voice control over their dogs - so off leash skills are zero
🙂↕️ MOST owners are not paying attention to subtle signs that a fight is about to break out
🙂↕️ A few bad moments can create awful associations for your dog, and create issues when you take them out in the world
To progress your dog's training, it's best we work OUTSIDE of a dog park and build value in working with us, remaining neutral about seeing other dogs, and building wanted habits.
If your dog is having behavioral issues or is tough to train, stop going to the dog park.
Playdates with appropriate dogs in private areas is best: a friend's yard, or SniffSpot rental (app).
We utilize a dropped longline while we are ecollar training for the following reasons:
As long as I don't need to use my tools: touch the longline, utilize my ecollar every 5 seconds, or get treats/toys out in order to manipulate the dog's behavior... they are doing just fine with "off-leash" skills. Voice control is what matters the most. The tools are back-ups.
Remember: Any time you decide to take your dog off-leash, you are putting them at serious risk. Very well trained animals can still do animal things. We encourage our clients to be smart about which situations they are putting their dogs in, and be mindful/respectful of others and their dogs. Do not allow your dog to rush up to others, it is incredibly irritating.
Ooof, tall order, but it can be done!
Hey spouse, please listen... your dog is performing based on your actions or lack-thereof. If one partner is doing things right, but the other isn't... well, it's just a never ending mess. The dog will be confused, and that isn't fair to the dog, is it?
